Meet Martha the Dachshund who you’ll learn to love for more than just her dashing looks, those big soppy eyes gives you the innocent expression and it melts everyones heart. The ‘puppy dog eyes’ instantly win our hearts at first glance, you get a smile in your face just as you stare into them. Martha is very sociable and she loves people especially her owners.
Bridget Waller, of the University of Portsmouth, is a study co-author. She told The Guardian that : “[Dogs] are very powerful animals in how they capture our hearts. We pay a lot of attention to faces, they are meaningful to us, and this expression makes dogs look juvenile and sad. It induces a nurturing response. It’s a cute factor.”
Bridget Waller suggests that the inner eyebrow-raising movement triggers a nurturing response in humans, it makes the dog’s eyes appear larger and more infant-like.
They are perfect for apartments, and happily make their home wherever their owner chooses although you shouldn’t forget that they still need plenty of exercise!
Dachshunds make wonderful companions for both the experienced and first-time dog owners. With the right care and commitment, these puppies will bring plenty of joy and love to your life.
