This cat named Nutmag, who is contender to be the world’s oldest cat (that’s a cat age equal of 151 in human years). They called the cat ladder and he selected his family via showing up in their outside some 32 years ago in the same years he was adopted from this family. ”He rules the house and he’s truly gorgeous,” Nutmeg’s human beings told The Mirror.
The owner Liz and Ian took the adorable cat named Nutmeg in back in 1988 as a stray who befriended their very own cat Spice. When the owners took the kittie to their local Cats Portection to deal with Nutmeg’s abscess on the neck, they told the proprietors that the cute cat was once at least 2 years old.
This would make the cat Nutmeg the oldest cat in the world, but to qualify for Guinness Records the owners have to show the files that show his age, it’s a bit tricky, however, they are working on it.
“He is no longer our family pet, we are his people and he never lets us forget that. Maybe that is the secret to his long and happy life.”
Nutmeg was taken to Westway Veterinary Group in Newcastle upon Tyne with breathing difficulties, but vets were unable to save him after he suffered heart failure.
His heartbroken owners Liz and Ian Finlay (pictured with him), from Blaydon, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, say the death of their beloved pet has left a massive hole in their lives.
The couple adopted Nutmeg after finding him in their garden in 1990. They took him to Cats Protection, where vets told them he was at least five, making him 32 when he died.
