For animals that lives in shelters life can get pretty hard, all they want is to find a forever home, so they can live with they owners and feel safe.
A dog named Regan found himself homeless after her owner passed away in 2018, the 4-year-old dog ended up in the shelter looking for a new forever home. So there was someone who was ready to take the dog home, Kim Mozena Rezac, after winning the trust of the dog she knew she could offer a home for Reagan.

“You could tell she was scared and afraid. I would go in and give her treats and sit with her and talk,” Kim told Today. “Our shelter is wonderful, and our volunteers do such a great job with the animals. But I hated for her to be there if she could be curled up on a couch at my house.”

She took Reagan as a foster pet, and as they were going back home something amazing happened, the dog held Kim’s hand with her furry paw.
“She wanted to hold my hand the whole way. If I took it away she would paw at it,” Kim said. “She just wanted to be touching.”
“She was so nervous and scared in the shelter but as soon as she jumped into my car she seemed so grateful.”
