The American black bear is a medium-sized bear native to North America. It is the continent’s smallest and most widely distributed bear species, a close encounter with this bear is way to dangerous, they could easily reach up to 600 pounds.
Brian Hurt and his wife Tricia was in a fishing trip when they suddenly spotted a black bear struggling to reach the shore, the bear was swimming with its head stuck in a plastic tube, and the couple knew the poor bear could had drown so they decided to help the powerless balck bear.
“We are pretty sure it would not have made it to shore,” Tricia told CNN. We knew we had to do something. It was really huffing and puffing.”
As they got closer to the bear somehow Brian managed to pull on the plastic jar after the 2nd attempt so the bear got released and the started to swim to shore.
“We were so excited,” the woman said. “We did our good deed for the day…and it felt good to help the poor bear. You don’t like to see animals struggle.”
“Never dreamt we would ever do this in our life time,” the woman wrote on Facebook. “Out on Marshmiller Lake yesterday with Brian Hurt and Brady Hurt when we spotted this poor bear. He made it to shore after all that.” Thousands of people applauded the Hurts’ bravery and determination to set the poor animal free.
“Oh my goodness my heart stopped for a minute!” one person wrote.”Thank you for being there and being brave enough to do something! Send this clip to the news!” While another one added: “This is so heroic and compassionate. You all are the best!”
